Quick Thought on Shutting Doors

A few moments ago, I spoke with a candidate who has been unemployed for many months.  We discussed a 2 to 3 month contract position I am trying to fill which she would be a good fit for.  Without giving it much thought, she told me she would not accept anything shorter than a six month assignment unless I dramatically raised the pay rate (very unrealistic for the current need).  I inquired as to how many better opportunities she is looking at.  She was honest and said she had non but would not budge! Please be careful about shutting doors!  Feel free to share your thoughts on this!
