No one ever said serving as a Governor would be an easy job. This is a no-win decision which I doubt many people would approve of.

Here is a quick observation. Not one of the job orders I have received from clients in the past ten weeks has been for virtual or hybrid work arrangements. I currently have one long term temp-to-perm associate who works remote a few times per moth but goes into the office the bulk of the time. My clients who have remained virtual or hybrid, appear to not have immediate interest in filling holes in their staffing infrastructure. This will be interesting to follow as time marches on.
Thank you notes are still an important part of the interview process. Some people prefer snail mail but I recommend sending electronically to get it into the hiring manager's hands quickly. Email is my preference though I am not opposed to text if you and the hiring party commuted that way to schedule the interview. August is winding down awfully quick and has been a month with a lot of odds and ends going on. Here are some thoughts which have occurred to me in recent weeks:
~Will the end of the $300 per week Federal supplemental unemployment benefit actually bring people back to work?
~After spending roughly eighteen months collecting unemployment checks, will those who completely shut down (no networking, no job hunting, no effort to keep skills updated, etc.) have retained enough skills to be hired?
~For those who did try to stay current and active, how can they differentiate themselves, in they eyes of hiring managers, from those who did not?
~Will those who have either been unemployed or required to work remotely, return to onsite workplaces as mandated by many companies?
