But, if the only thing you are doing on LinkedIn is updating your profile every now and then and waiting for the headhunters and recruiting managers to reach out, you are missing the boat. LinkedIn is a massive database that houses critical elements to your job-search plan and strategy. Unfortunately, many people understand that to mean simply copying the elements of your resume into your LinkedIn profile and thinking you are done and then are astonished that nothing happens. Your LinkedIn profile is social. It is for networking and interacting with a wide variety of people, including hiring authorities. Consequently, it is an important part of the job hunt aside from a formal job request. It allows you to demonstrate what you really care about as a professional, and it can help you build relationships with people who are in a position to positively impact your job search or even hire you. Learn some proven techniques to improve your interviewing skills by becoming more adept at handling the most difficult of questions.  Experience how to approach the interview pro-actively and see how well you can handle certain questions in this interactive session.  The meeting is at the New York Science, Industry and Business Library, 188 Madison Avenue @ 34th Street, New York, NY 10016.

The issues addressed and discussed should be theirs not yours. If you remain focused on better understanding where they are today and where they wish to be tomorrow, you may just be the answer to their prayers. That can happen if you ask questions that demonstrate your concern for them, their issues, and the problems they are trying to solve. It’s here where you can be their knight in shining armor by sharing some of your successes that show how you can help them. Visit the PSG of Mercer County website to learn about the numerous resources available there.
