Positivity!!!!!

Positivity is important when job searching. With the impacts of Covid-19, positivity has become even more crucial. Many governors have accelerated the return to normalcy in sports venues, theaters, dining establishments, houses of worship, etc. in response to a decrease in new cases and the rapid distribution of vaccines. While it is too soon to tell if this will go smoothly, the result of this process will be the need for more onsite workers across the board.

If a company tells you that a job opening will require you to report to the worksite rather than virtually, that is a choice the potential employer has the right to make. You will have to decide whether you are interested in a job which requires this to happen. Certainly, you are the one that must make this decision but don't interview for an on site job if you are uncomfortable.

Also, whatever you do, respond about your preferences positively and never accuse the company of making a poor choice by not allowing virtual work. The organization has to make business decisions in order to stay afloat. Negativity could come back to haunt you as you might want to reapply down the road and/or that hiring manager could move on to another company and could paths with you. Positivity is so critical to maintain at all times!
