Today's events made me think of one of my long time favorite pieces of advice. When actively job hunting (especially if you are unemployed) make sure to check your messages frequently. Recruiters receive calls from their clients with needs that might need to be filled immediately. As soon as I start a search, I send messages (email, voicemail, text) to those I feel are top candidates. Usually, I begin with those who I know have recently told me they are ready to get back to work. If I have an urgent need that they fit, obviously, I want to get then submitted ASAP. Sadly, slow responses could very well lead to another individual getting the job offer. Early birds do catch worms! #jobsearch #recruiting #jobs #interviewing
