Recently, I have seen a trend in resumes from the latest recipients of Bachelor's degrees. Many are simply listing there academic major but not going into any details such as specific skills acquired, internships completed, research projects, or any related work and/or volunteer experience. The focus seems to be on clubs and activities they were involved in. While such information demonstrates the spirit and individuality of each person, it does not demonstrate what they learned in college related to the jobs they are applying for. A healthier mix would go a long way toward securing them their first post-college job. Do others who review resumes or provide coaching agree with me?
