Placement Flashbacks (Memories from over 30 years in the staffing field). #2

Placement Flashbacks (Memories from over 30 years in the staffing field). #2

Do any Recruiters reading this post remember the days of the pin board in agency offices? It consisted of a bulletin board to which the initials of all the Recruiters were listed to the left and across the top, columns were set up for Job Orders (White), Interviews (Blue), Offers (Red), and Acceptances (Green). Each day, someone added up and recorded the pins. On Friday, it was not unusual for those with the best numbers for the week to be offered the chance to start their weekend a few hours early. If your row on the board was predominantly full of white push pins week after week, the chances were good that you may not have a spot on the board much longer. Does anyone know of a firm still utilizing this method?
